If they had to devalue a classic name, the Bronco would have made more sense. Why did they have to bring the Mustang into this

The Ford Crop Duster Sport
W ith its silent operation and ample torque, you can catch the attention of your coworkers and friends, but zip away before they even catch a glimpse of you. “Who was that?” they’ll ask, but you'll vanish in a cloud of dust.

Even then, why put your popular model’s image (and sales) on the line by tying it to something you’ve never tried before?
It’s a damn risky bet with a minimal payoff.

G iven that Ford saw fit to use the name “Probe” when they backed down from their threat to make the Mustang FWD, “Fart” seems like a pretty acceptable alternative for this thing .

Fart because it’s silent and deadly

Somebody mentioned the other day... a less controversial co-opt would be to use the name Lightning. They haven’t used it on an SVT truck in quite some time... and it does have a strong electrical connotation, as well as a strong electrical current.
They could paint it the same color as my previous 93 Probe... Electric Currant.
